“Crikey! Are You a ‘Crocodile Hunter'?"
Have you ever been to a funeral?
Yes, I'm afraid that today's message might not be as positive as most, but stay with me - I have a reason for this…
As I'm sure you've already heard by now, the Great 'Crocodile Hunter', Steve Irwin, died in a freak Stingray accident off the Coast of Australia on Labor Day, our Holiday.
He was a HUGE personal Hero of mine. You should see my imitation of him!
The very next night, coincidentally, I went to the funeral of an old friend, Carlos, whom I had known since High School (Half my life ago!). Unfortunately, life had kind of gotten in the way of our friendship, and I hadn't spoken to him in years.
I had always meant to call him, but just never quite got around to do it.
Have you ever been guilty of that?
Anyway, as I was standing in the Funeral Home, listening to ALL the wonderful comments made by his family & friends, I couldn't help but think about my life. And yours.
That's right. I thought about YOU, my loyal reader. Why?
Well, let me explain...
You see, Carlos lived a passionate life. He was constantly giving - whether he was doing his work as a Firefighter, taking care of his 2 kids, hanging out with friends & family, or whatever.
He had found his 'Purpose.'
Sadly, his body finally rejected the liver transplant he had received 10 years ago.
Steve 'Crocodile Hunter' Irwin had TRULY found & LIVED his 'Purpose' for years now - all you had to do was watch this guy on his show. He was like a big kid! CRIKEY!!
Now, here's my point...
So often, we can get caught up in doing something just to 'Make Money'.
We're so busy chasing the 'almighty dollar', that we lose sight of what's really important in life.
Family. Friends. Finding our own purpose. Laughing. Singing. Dancing! Telling jokes, and just plain ol' Having Fun! (Feel free to fill in your personal way of having Fun here.)
So, let me ask you something... Why do YOU want to invest in real estate?
Understanding that it's merely a means to an end, (Granted, it's a HUGE means!) but what is your 'real purpose?'
Why DO you want to make a ton of money buying & selling houses (or condos or land, or buildings, etc.)?
Is it to have more fun out of life? Is it to buy more 'toys'? (One of my favorites). Is it to be able to have more freedom to do what you want when you want to?
Is it to finally prove to “them” that you CAN do it? By the way, “Them” can be someone in your family, a co-worker, boss, friend, associate,
Hey, this is a question YOU'VE got to answer! I can't do it for you!
I would, however, just encourage you to think about this one for a moment.
Maybe after you’re done reading this article,

In addition to that, I get to travel to exotic places – Hawaii, Costa Rica, Argentina, take Real Estate Investor Cruises, etc. Yes, I like to take my sons with me – but only one at a time! J
My purpose? To be the best father possible to my sons, To empower others in this world to be the best they can be, and To live my life by example. (Yeah, I’m still working on this last one, haha!)

Oh, and one more thing... PLEASE don't take things so seriously! Enjoy whatever you're doing RIGHT NOW! As you learn real estate investing & do your deals, enjoy the process!
They say that Steve Irwin died DOING what he loved best - playing with the animals. He was a source of inspiration to us all.
You should have seen how many people were at my friend's funeral. Since he was a
Firefighter, they had to close down a major stretch of highway here where I live in Maryland, just outside of
I'll tell you one thing... When you find your Purpose in Life, Things just seem to slip in to place, No, I’m not saying you won’t have your

Have you gotten out your piece of paper yet?
So, as I wrap this up (forgive me for making it so long), I'd just like to encourage you to live like Steve Irwin, the 'Crocodile Hunter'...
No, not by wrestling with crocs, snakes, spiders, sharks, and other scary things (I still cringe when I see some of his video - Crikey!), but by LIVING - ON PURPOSE!
Enjoy Your Life, 'cause as far as we know, we only go around once!
Thanks for reading this far, and Happy Investing!
